Course description: Anne Shirley is a quirky, red-headed orphan whose head is always in the clouds. Created by the beloved author L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables is the first in a series of books that follows the unique upbringing of Anne by an old maid (Marilla) and her bachelor brother (Matthew). Come escape the craziness of our modern world and travel back in time to Prince Edward Island. Read about what life was like in the small town of Avonlea during the turn of the 19th century; a time in which life was simpler, full of adventure, and humor! Anne learns many timeless life lessons along the way, keeping readers engaged constantly by her charm and clumsy mistakes.
