Course description: Part two begins with exploring new material of conic sections, vectors, and polar coordinates. We then discuss sequences, series, and inferential statistics before introducing calculus ideas of limits and derivatives.

Course outline:

Week 1-2: Conic Sections and Parametric Equations
Week 3-4: Vectors
Week 5-7: Polar Coordinates and Complex Numbers
Week 8-9: Sequences and Series
Week 10-11: Inferential Statistics
Week 12-14: Limits and Derivatives

Course materials: Glencoe Precalculus (print edition ISBN 9780076602186, one-year digital subscription available – please contact Mrs. Breier at minimum 10 business days before the beginning of the course if you are interested in the digital copy), a graphing calculator (TI-84 plus or similar), graph paper, a straightedge, a protractor, and a compass.

Homework: Daily assignments (aside from test days) taking ~30 minutes (not including watching daily lessons), with weekly quizzes or tests.
