We all can see what is going on around us but we don’t always see how contemporary events affect us in the long term. In this course, students will see the whole picture to get a historicized and critical conceptualization of recent history.

Duration per class: 55 minutes
Prerequisite: None. However, Modern U.S. History: 1865-2000 (live Fall 2023), and Modern European History: 1789-1991 (recorded, Unlimited Access) are strongly recommended.

Suggested grade level: 11th to 12th grade. However, 9th to 10th graders with above-average reading skills can be successful as well. No middle school students please.
Suggested credit: One full semester American History

Course description: This final course in Mr. Campbell's U.S. History series follows the fortunes of the United States from its position of unrivaled global supremacy at the end of the Cold War, through the boom of the 90s and into the post-9/11 world. This class will help students understand contemporary national and global events in light of the historic and cultural shifts of the past 25 years.
