How to get the most out of Basic Culinary Skills with Chef Jim Churches:

  • Be ready to cut and chop and pay attention to the techniques to be safe and efficient in the kitchen.

  • Read assignments before watching the next class video.

  • Watch the class's recording if you need to revisit information from the previous class.

  • Do the assignments, quizzes, and any extra work assigned for that class.

  • Once the course is completed to the parent's and professor’s satisfaction, there is a Certificate of Completion at the end to be filled in for your records

Duration:  Approx. 55 minutes

Prerequisite: Food Safety & Sanitation (the first recording)- This MUST be done before you do any of the lessons. Please do this first!

Suggested grade level: 6th & Up

Suggested credit: This will be up to the parent to give this credit based on how many lessons you do.
