This is Part One of a two-part course. Students are expected to register for Part Two in the spring.

Course Description: In this course, students will be taught basic vocabulary with an emphasis on simple verb conjugation and pronunciation. This class will lay the necessary groundwork that act as the building blocks of learning a new language. By the end of this course, students will be able to form basic sentences, conjugate verbs in future and present tenses, and have the tools to conduct themselves through basic conversations.

Section 6 - Seasons, Weather, and Conjugation of -er/-ir verbs in the present tense

Section 7 - Weather, Dates, and Conjugation of -er/-ir verbs continued

Section 8 - Family, Definite/Indefinite Articles, and Possessive adjectives

Section 9 - Family and Conjugation of o-ue stem changing verbs

Section 10 - Descriptive Adjectives and Conjugation of o-ue stem changing verbs continued

Section 11 - Descriptive Adjectives and Conjugation of e-ie stem changing verbs

Section 12 - Review of all previously learned vocabulary and Conjugation of stem changing verbs
Course Materials: All course materials provided free by the instructor. Spanish/English dictionary is recommended, as well as a notebook or binder for the class.
Homework: Students will be expected to spend about 3 to 5 hours per week outside of weekly classes. This is not meant to discourage students. Simply put, repetition is key when learning any new language. Audio files will be expected to be turned into the teacher.
