  • Read assignments before class meetings

  • Watch that week’s recording if you need to revisit information from our live session.

  • Do the assignments, quizzes, and any extra work assigned for that week.

  • Once the course is completed to the parent's and professor’s satisfaction, there is a Certificate of Completion at the end to be filled in for your records.

Special notes: This is Part One of a 2-part course. Students are expected to sign up for Part Two in the spring.

Course description: The renaissance was a time of great change, the entire medieval worldview broken apart as great discoveries in the stars, upon the earth, and in the smallest molecules bring about a re-conception of the universe. We will be going through these discoveries, and discussing the social and historical implications of them.

Homework: Expect to spend about 45 minutes of reading each week plus review and a weekly quiz (auto-graded by the computer for immediate feedback).
