Course description: Many students find poetry difficult and unenjoyable - but in this course, students will have a blast! Mr. O’Brien will present the funniest and most entertaining poems that exist and he will read them aloud in class. Students will learn from these examples the essence of poetry - rhyme, meter, imagery, etc. We will even try our hand at writing some poems in class!

Homework: There will be a Final Project, in which students will write their own funny poems. There will be little reading outside of class. Plan on about a half hour to an hour of homework each week outside of the live class.
