Course Description: As students learn about influencers who lived in Medieval times, there is a tendency to downplay their scientific accomplishments. Throughout this course, we will look at different medieval scientists, how their thoughts were influenced, and how their work influenced the medieval model of the world including astronomy, medicine, anatomy and surgery, psychology, and more.

  • Week 2: Astronomy

  • Week 3: Astronomy II

  • Week 4: Astronomy III

  • Week 5: Medicine

  • Week 6: Review Midterm I

  • Week 7: Human Anatomy

  • Week 8: Surgery

  • Week 9: Humors

  • Week 10: Psychology

  • Week 11: Psychology II

  • Week 12: Review for Final I

Course Materials: All course materials are provided free by the instructor.

Homework: Each week, students will be required to read the provided documents, take a short 10 question quiz, and either watch or perform a simple experiment on their own.
