Course Description: This course will be mix of literature and law. Students will learn how to write a case brief as well as read and comprehend key Supreme Court opinions that have shaped our country including Marbury v. Madison, Brown v. Board of Education and Roe v. Wade. Various methods of legal reasoning will be explored and employed. During the first class, the instructor will allow students the opportunity to submit cases they are interested in reviewing.
Course Materials: All materials will be provided free by the instructor.
Homework: Homework will include reading one landmark case per week, writing case briefs, and answering questions. Homework should take a student one to two hours a week to complete.
Answer Key: An answer key booklet is included with this course.
