This course is especially focused for students who are not planning on going into a STEM field but still desire a foundational knowledge of chemistry.

  • Week 5: Gas Phase

  • Week 6: Review Midterm II

  • Week 7: Thermodynamics

  • Week 8: Thermodynamics II

  • Week 9: Kinetics

  • Week 10: Chemical Equilibrium

  • Week 11: Oxidisation

 

Course materials: Exploring Creation with Chemistry, 2nd Edition. By Dr. Jay L. Wile ISBN:978-1932012262 available from your favorite homeschool vendor or used through BookFinder.com.

Homework: Each week, students will be required to read a selection from the textbook, take a short  quiz, and either watch or perform a simple experiment on their own. If students are having difficulties there are extra practice problems in the book they can do to shore up their knowledge.
