How to get the most out of Anne of Windy Poplars with Mrs. Henry:

    1. First, read the course materials below before the first class meeting. 
    2. Read chapters 1-6 of The First Year and take the corresponding reading quiz before our first class together. 
    3. Then have a notebook ready and available for class notes each live/recorded session.
    4. Do the assignments, quizzes, and any extra work assigned each week.
    5. Once the course is completed to the parent's and professor’s satisfaction, there is a Certificate of Completion at the end to be filled in for your records.
    6. Optional: You can purchase Instructor Access for $25. This will provide grading assistance for the essays, extra credit assignments, and final exam. Click the "buy now" link to the right.

Duration: Approx 45 minutes

Prerequisite: None! It is recommended, however, to read books 1-3 in the Anne of Green Gables series first. Mrs. Henry offers Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, and Anne of the Island as Recorded Courses in Unlimited Access! 
Suggested Grade Level: 7th to 10th grade

Suggested Credit: ⅔ Literature. Language Arts, or English. Add another one of Mrs. Henry's recorded Literature courses (Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, Anne of the Island or Greek Mythology) for a full credit.

Course Materials: Anne of Windy Poplars by L.M. Montgomery – any unabridged edition is fine.
Homework: Students will read the assigned chapters every week and come to class prepared for discussion.  There will be an assortment of automated quizzes, exams, and short writing assignments.
